Ruwan   is   a   fellow   member   of   the   Institute   of   Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, an associate member of the Society of Certified Management Accountants and also an associate member of the Certified Professional Managers. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Economics, awarded by the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. 

He has gained immense experience that expands around 20 years in   the   fields   of   accounting,   auditing   & assurance   services, corporate finance and management both in private and public sectors. Prior to commencing the career in practice, he headed  finance departments  of several Leading  Business  Conglomerates with international connections into the businesses of Fast Food  Industry (McDonalds Sri Lanka), Shipping and Logistics (Sri Lankan  Agents for Star Cruise, Marigulf Shipping, Martrade Shipping, CK  Lines, Brinks Valuable Cargo Operations, Arc & Bay Lines) Leisure  and Tourism, Pharmaceutical  and environmental  sciences ( Sri  Lankan Operation of Aventis Phama GMBH),  exposing himself to  the diverse business communities. His specialized areas includes, Audit, Assurance and Accounting Services both in private and public sector, also financial planning and Knowledge process outsourcing, etc.
